I've taken so long to write this blog post and even managed to delete it accidentally at one point just as I was about to press publish!!

So....let's try again.

It's finally here in actual bloody print, in really big print and spread over three gorgeous pages!

My Mum named my sister after the song by Hot Chocolate - Emma...

"Emmaline, Emma, Emmaline
I'm gonna write your name high on that silver screen
Emmaline, Emma, Emmaline
I'm gonna make you the biggest star this world has ever seen"

So, EMMA my darling girl your name may not be up in lights but in my world of weddings this is the same're famous!!

Wow have we waited to show you these, we've been sat on them for eight months which is an utter lifetime when you have something amazing you want to share with the world!

When we originally started the planning for the wedding auction my sister was really ill and desperately needed special treatment for Brain Cancer.

The funds we hoped to raise would have been used to buy the medication she needed and to send her to a clinic abroad.

We had planned to do the shoot and have it run along side the wedding auction in order to showcase the beautiful venue of The Lowarth which was included in the main auction lot.

Monday 25th July was in the diary and everything was set to go.......but so was my sister. Emma died the day before and I began to fall apart inside.

I couldn't be there, I had to stay with my sister for as long as I could.

I obviously don't know for sure what happened at the venue on that day but I do know something magical occurred! Under any other circumstance I'd have pulled the plug on the shoot because I was so freaked out about it having to be just perfect but I knew I couldn't be there and I couldn't cancel it so I had to let go and trust them to carry it out the way I saw it in my head and honestly I couldn't be prouder.

Ooh let me tell you about some of the strange but beautiful connections involving this shoot..

The book in this picture was called Emma by Jane Austen. Total coincidence, it was a book amongst a selection from the venue.

We didn't know until the day of the shoot but our model Abigail is actually the step daughter of the wonderful nurse Michelle who was in charge of looking after Emma those last months of her life.

Louise sent me a sneak peak of this picture I received it after getting back from taking Emma to The Green Funeral Company. I noticed the lavender first before anything else because I had just picked some when we left the funeral home...I'm looking at it right now tied in a little bunch sat on a shelf in my living room.

I know this shoot didn't just mean something to me because over the months that Emma was ill I spent time with these ladies. I cried and laughed with them and I'm so thankful that they were a part of this chapter of my life and Emma's.

Louise, Hannah, Kate, Victoria, Katy, Ailsa and Abigail you will forever have a special place in my heart for pulling this together...Thank you ladies xxx

"For me that shoot was just impossibly hard to do! I wouldn't have done it if it wasn't for Hannah who had to literally hold me when I crumbled after the first few shots. Too many things meant too much but I am glad that I did it, and I am glad that it is out there now for the world to see!" Louise x Mrs Jutson Photography
